Give Yourself or Your Child A Gift That Will Last a Lifetime: The Love of Music

My name is Alexis and I am a classically-trained singer who teaches voice and piano in the New Haven, Connecticut and New York area. I began studying piano at the age of 5, which began my journey with music. I graduated from Princeton in 2010 with a minor in music, worked at the Metropolitan Opera for a year, then went on to get a masters in music at Mannes College.

I began teaching in 2012, passing on my knowledge from some of the best teachers in NYC directly to my students.

I'm now earning a doctorate in music from CUNY Graduate Center, where I'm on a prestigious Five-Year Fellowship to support my research and performance activities while earning my degree. For the past two years, I taught in the voice department at Brooklyn College. I was previously an adjunct professor at Bronx Community College.

I'm also a registered Music Together teacher, and teach several classes in Soho in New York City. Find out more here:

I have my own studio conveniently in beautiful Morgan Point in East Haven, easily accessible from Branford, East Haven, New Haven, and other points in Connecticut. I also do in-home lessons on a case-by-case basis. I also teach in midtown Manhattan, NYC on select days.
